Call of Duty: Ghosts Gameplay Trailer

Activision finally released its gameplay trailer for "Call of Duty: Ghosts". 

Here's the game summary from Activision: 

"Ten years after a devastating mass event, the nation's borders and the balance of global power have been redrawn forever. As what's left of the nation's Special Operations forces, a mysterious group known only as "Ghosts" leads the fight back against a newly emerged, technologically-superior global power."

"Call of Duty: Ghosts" is out for PC, Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U November 5.

Call of Duty: Ghosts Trailer

Infinity Ward has dropped a new Call of Duty: Ghosts trailer, this time focusing on the single-player aspect of the upcoming shooter.

The trailer doesn't feature much of a coherent story, focusing instead on some of the bigger set pieces of the game, including a gunfight taking place on a space station. Next, it shows off a variety of settings for the shooter, including battles on sea, in a variety of industrial environments, and even on a cliffside monorail.

Forza Horizon Launch Trailer and Demo

Forza Horizon is poised to be a dramatic departure from Turn 10′s simulation roots, as the upcoming Microsoft Xbox 360 exclusive turns its attention to festival-style racing events and mid-range sports cars. The scenery also shifts to the gorgeous environments of Colorado as shown in the game’s launch trailer.

This shift from simulation to arcade-style racing isn’t indicative of a new direction for the Forza franchise, but rather a fork in the road. Similar to what Codemasters recently did with DiRT Showdown, Forza Horizon looks geared to appeal to newcomers but still contains enough of that award-winning Forza pedigree to lure in series veterans.

The trailer also reveals a demo of Forza Horizon on Xbox Live slated for October 9th, two weeks ahead of the game’s launch. Players who download the demo and subsequently purchase the full game will be treated to a custom 2013 SRT Viper GTS, with a rare livery which celebrates the release. The demo itself showcases the fictional Finley Dam and the actual dusty dirt roads of Colorado’s upper hills. Players can expect a variety of race types and a degree of open world freedom to explore certain areas of the Festival maps.

Assassin's Creed III Story Trailer

Ubisoft released a new trailer for the upcoming Assassin's Creed 3, of which showcases the story of the new protagonist of the franchise, Connor. As you watch the video below, the trailer begins by displaying conflict from Connor's childhood. As the video escalates, you are able to understand the conflicts within Connor's character, and why he fights for what he does in the game's storyline.

Through this video, the initial stages of Connor's “Assassin Status” is displayed as he enters his training. Ubisoft intends to deliver a very authentic and engaging story for Assassin's Creed 3, and this video really showcases the effort that they have put behind this title.

Minecraft Xbox 360 1.8.2 Update News

4J Studios announced that they are now closer to releasing the 1.8.2 title update.
"We've handed over the final 1.8.2 build to Microsoft! They'll run some confidence tests then put it into Certification Testing."

After finally handing it over to Microsoft, the seemingly excruciating long wait is almost over and the light at the end of the tunnel is closer.
4J Studios have released some videos that showcase some of the changes that you can expect to see on the update for Minecraft: Xbox 360. The New Mobs video can be seen below.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter Beta

The Medal of Honor: Warfighter multiplayer beta is now available to download on Xbox LIVE. It is a free download to Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers but will take up 1.61 GB of hard drive space so make sure you have enough room.

The beta takes place on a map called Sarajevo Stadium and introduces a game mode called "Hot Spot." All twelve units and six classes are available for players to try out. Full weapon unlocks will be available for the "Assaulter" class. There is also a full battle log which keeps detailed personal stats and should make playing the beta more fun in the long run. Player progression will not be carried over to the full version of the game.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter itself is scheduled for release on October 23rd. It will be available on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC (with a Wii U version released later).

Neo Geo X Gold

SNK announced earlier in January that they would be returning with a new console, unveiling the Neo Geo X Gold portable gaming unit, capable of playing all the classic SNK titles. The only problem? Well, this handheld system will cost you about $200 USD, which is quite the asking price considering the portable gaming market that SNK is making their reappearance for. Is playing your favorite Neo Geo titles worth the asking price or is this just another pitfall waiting for SNK?

The last time most gamers in the U.S. have seen SNK release any Neo Geo system was the release of the Neo Geo Pocket Color Handheld in 1999, while most of their earlier home consoles were limited to Japan. The home consoles boasted some nice technical specs at the time, offered arcade perfect ports, and contained any SNK fan's favorite titles such as Fatal Fury, King of Fighters, Metal Slug, etc. However, the only problems that arose were with the prices of their consoles and games, which were astronomically high (The Neo Geo AES home system debuted around $650 dollars, with games ranging around $200 USD and up).

So what does this new system come with exactly? Included in the package is a charging dock and a replica Neo Geo style arcade stick, which looks great if you're itching to play all your favorite SNK titles in true arcade fashion. This system also comes with 20 pre-installed games which include:

The specs of the handheld include a 4.3" LCD screen, headphone jack, and expandable card slot. The Neo Geo X Gold can also be used just like a home console, as the handheld device can hook up to your TV through HDMI or RCA connectors. The option to play the handheld system on larger monitors is quite neat and handy if you decide to bring the system over to a friends house or a different room.

With these offerings that SNK is bringing to the table with their latest system, is it worth having to buy a $200 handheld gaming device that plays games which are over 15-20 years old? Well, that depends on whether or not you find playing older SNK games valuable, or perhaps if you are a hardcore SNK fan who wishes to relive SNK's 16-bit glory days with some of the best arcade ports.

The Neo Geo X Gold will be available worldwide on December 6.

Borderlands 2 "Badass" Token Glitch

The glitch has to do with the "badass" tokens players can earn in the game. Players earn tokens for completing certain challenges, and those tokens can be spent on getting skins for weapons, armor, etc, as well as upgrades. Not only will it erase that a player has gotten the tokens, but it marks the challenges as complete, so players can't just go back and redo the challenges. To make matters even worse, the items and upgrades players get using the tokens are disappearing. Various users from Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 have been reporting that the bug has hit them. It's not hitting everyone, which is good, but it's a big enough problem that two systems are having to deal with it, so everyone needs to be concerned.

Gearbox has yet to announce how the bug got started or what started it, but at least they're working on a fix for the problem.

Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition Update and Extras

According to the latest update from 4J Studios, the developer is still "fixing bugs" in the 1.8.2 update for the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft now having a release within the first or second week of October. For now you can enjoy the new Avatar items.

The Minecraft Avatar items added to Xbox LIVE Marketplace include a Creeper hoodie, a Pumpkinhead hat, Steve hat plus props that let your Avatar ride a mine cart or shear a Minecraft sheep. Prices for the Avatar items range from 80 MS Points ($1) to 240 MS Points ($3)

Medal of Honor Warfighter Beta

The Medal of Honor Warfighter beta is slated to arrive early October for the Xbox 360. The beta is an opportunity for fans to check out what will be offered in multiplayer in the full game.

Resident Evil 6 Demo

Available now, Capcom's newly-released game demo allows players to experience first-hand content from the game's three main campaigns that can be played either solo or partnering up via online co-op.

Playing as either Leon S. Kennedy or Helena Harper, players will explore the dark corridors and moonlit grounds of Ivy University, which is swarming with the victims of the latest bioterrorist attack. The action in Jake's mission switches to the neon-lit streets of Lanshiang as he and Sherry Berkin fight off the new J'avo enemies, including their fully mutated forms. Jake's special hand-to-hand combat moves and Sherry's stun baton are pivotal in their struggle to stay alive. Showcasing the global setting in Resident Evil 6, Chris Redfield and Piers Nivans head with fellow BSAA team members to the war-ravaged streets of Edonia. The amassed J'avo forces provide a stiff enough challenge, but that's before the three-story high B.O.W. Ogroman crashes the party. Players who select Piers will have at their disposal a slightly different weapons loadout than Chris, which includes a sniper rifle with thermal scope.

Resident Evil 6 will release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 across Europe and North America on October 2. A PC version will follow soon.

One of the noticeable changes in this new list is that it no longer includes the U.S.S. Barack Obama, which was originally rumored to be one of Black Ops 2′s major set pieces. The list also includes several new maps such as Express, Meltdown, Raid, Socotra, and Village, bringing the map total to 14.

Minecraft Xbox Edition 1.8.2 update

4J Studios detailed the changes coming to the Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition tutorial mode with the 1.8.2 update in an interview released on Tuesday. All new Easter Eggs are coming along with examples of other new features in the game.

The current Minecraft: Xbox 360 tutorial world is filled with a number of Easter Eggs for players to find while they explore. Paddy Burns of 4J Studios told Hook Shot Inc what the studios plans were with the 1.8.2 update.

"We decided that it would be good to have the tutorial world showing the new terrain features of 1.8.2 (Strongholds, Villages, Abandoned Mineshafts and Ravines), so we have a new world with the previous tutorial training area transplanted in it," Burns said when asked about the new Minecraft tutorial mode.

"Everything beyond the training area has changed," he continued. "We’re also added [sic] a few new mini-tutorials for the 1.8.2 features. We previously added some Easter Eggs elements for a bit of fun, and it went down very well with the players, so we’ve expanded these and tried to be pretty devious with our hiding places for some. It’ll be good to see how quickly they are found this time!"

Some of the new 1.8.2 features include Creative Mode, SuperFlat, the Hunger mechanic, chargeable bows, new mobs and food items.

4J Studios stated yesterday that it has one to two weeks of work left on the 1.8.2 update forMinecraft: Xbox 360 Edition before it can send the update to Microsoft for certification and release. Based on this information, we expect the update to be released between the end of September and two weeks into the month of October.
